Steven is the son of a United Methodist preacher, and he has two brothers that have been UM Ministers in the Tennessee Conference. He is one of 5 boys born to the late Rev. Paul Lee and Roberta Lee, who still resides in Waverly.
Steven came to Dickson First after serving four years at the Carthage/Cedar Point UMC appointment. Steven holds an AA degree from Martin Methodist College (1990), a BS and BA from APSU in Sociology and History (1992), and a Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary (1996). He was ordained a Deacon in 1994 and an Elder in 1998. He has served on various committees/boards on both the District and Conference level, most notably just completing a 12 year stint on the Conference Board of Ordained Ministry.
Crystal is a licensed teacher, with certifications in both French and English. She began her teaching career at Dickson County HS, where she taught French/English from 1995-2000. Crystal also has served in the church music ministry as both a Choir Director and musician. She loves to sing and play the piano, whenever she is called upon to serve. She and Steven were married on August 5, 2000 at Dickson 1st UMC. Their family is excited about being at DFUMC and look forward to a long and fruitful ministry here with the people of Dickson County.
